On 19th November, we held our ‘Ladies Who Sing’ event — around 25 ladies joined us for the day to Learn You Raise Me Up.
The Junction 14 ladies had only been learning the song for a week or so — so it was quite new to everyone.
At the end of the day, we made a couple of videos. Click on the blue links to see the videos.
We were impressed with the results and several of the ladies who joined us for the day are now considering becoming members of Junction 14.
Last Sunday, 9th October, we were delighted to be invited to sing at a fund-raising event for our Charity Of The Year — The Milton Keynes Reader Service.
This small, local charity ‘matches’ volunteers with blind and partially sighted people and makes a huge difference to the quality of their lives. Several Junction 14 ladies volunteer with the Reader Service.

This is what their Volunteer Coordinator said after the event:
“Please thank the choir for joining us yesterday afternoon. We all really enjoyed hearing you sing and it was lovely to meet you all. We raised just under £300 which is pretty good for a little charity like ours.
Learn a song in a day!
